Referral Program Terms

These are the terms of the SealMySignature referral program. They are short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and ask before you accept.

Who Can Take Part

• Any workspace on SealMySignature in good standing, which means an account that is active and is not suspended.
• When the workspace earns as one company, an admin or the owner accepts these terms once and everybody in the workspace shares the one company link.
• When the owner has chosen each-member earning, anybody with the member role or above accepts these terms for themselves and gets a link of their own. An admin or the owner can also set a link up for a team mate, and accepts these terms on their behalf when they do.
• You take part as yourself, or as the workspace you accepted for. A referral account is not something you can hand to somebody else.

What You Earn

• You earn 10% of every payment a workspace you referred makes to SealMySignature, for as long as they pay.
• A referral counts when a new workspace is set up through your link, or with your code entered while it is being set up. Nothing else counts.
• A workspace has one referrer, fixed at the moment it is set up. The first link or code it arrives with is the one credited, and that does not change later.
• The rate on a payment is the rate on your account the day that payment is recorded. It is stamped on the commission and never recalculated afterwards.
• Payments are in US dollars. Commission is worked out in whole cents and rounded down.

When You Are Paid

• Commission is held for 30 days after the payment it came from. That is the refund window, and it is there so a payment that gets given back is not a payout somebody has to chase.
• Payouts go out twice a month, on the 1st and the 16th.
• Payouts are sent by PayPal to the address saved on your referral account. Keep it current, because that is the only address we use.
• A payout is made once your matured balance is at least $10.00. Below that, the balance carries forward to the next one.
• A payout sent to the address saved on your account is complete. Getting it into the right inbox is the part that is yours.
• If a payout fails, its commission goes back into your balance and is paid in a later batch once the address is fixed.

What Is Void

A referral is void, and nothing is paid on it, when it is any of these:

• Your own workspace, or another workspace in your organization.
• A workspace that somebody in your organization belongs to, or one set up with the address on your own account.
• Won through spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or messages made to look like they came from SealMySignature.
• Won through misleading claims about what the product does, what it costs, or who it comes from.
• Won through paid advertising on the SealMySignature name or on search terms containing it, or through coupon, deal and voucher sites.
• Self-dealing of any other kind, including workspaces set up only to collect commission.

SealMySignature may void a referral, pause a referral account, or close one, and may withhold unpaid commission on referrals it has voided. A refund reduces commission in proportion to the amount given back, and a refund that lands after a payout is taken off the next one.

Changes

• The rate, the hold period and the minimum payout can change. A change applies to payments recorded after it, and we say so before it takes effect.
• Commission you have already earned keeps the rate it was earned at.
• These terms can change too. A new version asks you to read and accept it. Nothing you have already earned is held back while you decide.

Taxes and Independence

• You are responsible for any tax on what you earn here, and for reporting it where you live.
• Nothing in this program makes you an employee, an agent, a partner or a representative of SealMySignature. You cannot sign anything, promise anything, or speak on its behalf.
• You pay your own costs of promoting your link.

What Is Kept

• The PayPal address you save. It is sealed at rest, shown back to you masked, and opened only to pay you.
• The name of each organization you referred, so you can see where your commission comes from. Their address, and what they do inside their workspace, are not shown to you.
• A daily count of how many times your link was opened. No addresses and no visitor details are kept with it.
• A first-party cookie, set only when somebody opens your link, so a click that becomes a workspace a few days later is still credited to you. It carries the code and nothing else.

Ending

• You can stop at any time. Remove your payout address, or write to [email protected] and ask for the account to be closed. Commission already earned and payable is still paid.
• SealMySignature can end the program with 30 days notice, and pays what was earned up to that point under these terms.
• If your workspace closes, the referrals credited to it stop earning.
